CEO Voith and Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business (APA)
Hubert Lienhard (*1951) has a doctorate in chemistry. He began his career in 1981 with Lurgi GmbH. Between 1989 and 2001 Dr. Lienhard held a range of management posts within the ABB Group, and in 2001 he transferred to Voith and became a member of its Group Management Board. From 2002 until 2008 Dr. Lienhard headed the Voith Hydro group division, and since 2008 he has been Chairman of the Group Management Board. Dr. Lienhard sits on the supervisory boards of the graphite and carbon specialist SGL Group, the Baden-Württemberg energy supplier EnBW, the precious metals and technology company Heraeus and the engineering conglomerate SMS Group. He is a member of the Restricted Management Board of the VDMA, a member of the Board of Directors of the German Asia-Pacific Business Association (OAV), a member of the German-Indian Advisory Group and a member of the German-Chinese Dialogue Forum. On 3 February 2014 Lienhard also took over the chairmanship of the Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business (APA).
